Looking into the New Year: A Letter From the Executive Director

What a momentous year full of milestones for the Burger King℠ Foundation! Thanks to the support of franchisees, vendors, sponsors and employees, the Foundation’s fundraising broke records, raising more than $8.2 million for our programs and initiatives! We granted over $3.4 million in scholarships to 3,200 students, provided hope during times of need by awarding over $600,000 in emergency grants and launched BK℠ Crown A Classroom. The success we have achieved provides us a firmer platform to reach our 2024 goals.

Looking into the new year, we hope to continue this momentum to expand our visibility and amplify our brand in the communities we are proud to be apart of.

Deepen Our Impact:

By enhancing our programs, the Foundation is deepening the impact in communities where we work and live. Through the Crown A Classroom program, we will continue to build on the vision established by Burger King® Co-Founder Jim McLamore to build brighter futures by providing critical classroom supplies to elementary schools in our communities that need it the most. In 2024, over $1.1 million in school supplies will be distributed to over 2,200 schools across the country.

Increase Visibility and Funding:

The Foundation is fully committed to expanding the Burger King brand’s philanthropic purpose. My goal is to increase awareness of the Foundation so that every Burger King restaurant guest knows our passion for education, which leads to increased support of deserving students.

Become Best in Class:

United around education and emergency relief, we are working to create a better world for our employees, guests, and the communities we serve.  By offering several opportunities to get involved and strengthening our collective fundraising efforts, we aim to serve as the best-in-class Foundation and charity of choice. 

While we celebrate the impact we made in 2023, our work is not over. I am confident that we can continue to expand our brand’s Foundation to provide life-changing opportunities for students to dream bigger and support our team members. I am excited to be apart of this journey to lead the Foundation down the path of success.
