Changing the Lives of Students One Golf Swing at a Time

For more than two decades, raising green for scholarships—on the green—has been an annual tradition for the Burger King Foundation.

The 21st annual Jim McLamore Golf Invitational raised over $475,000 to benefit the Foundation’s BK℠ Scholars program which provides scholarships to students across North America, including Burger King employees and their families.

Held in Galloway, New Jersey from June 17-19, 2024, this event was created by Steve Lewis, to honor the legacy of our co-founder, Jim McLamore, who believed in the power of education and the important role it plays in a successful future.

Nearly 100 guests enjoyed two full days of golfing at Galloway National Golf Course or a relaxing spa day at the Ocean Casino Resort, two signature dinners, and networking opportunities for our Burger King franchisees, Burger King Foundation board members, vendors, leadership and supporters. The proceeds of JMGI directly benefits the BK Scholars Program.

Thank you to our generous sponsors of the event: The Coca-Cola Company, Dr. Pepper Keurig, Burger King, Kraft Heinz, Mike Diseveria, OSI, Barclays, McLamore Family Foundation, Flowers Bakeries, Northern Trust, Quality Dining, Redbull, Smithfield, Steven M. Lewis Family Foundation, The Hershey Company, CraftMark, Restaurant Services Inc., Crown Bakeries/George Caparos, Ecolab, Glencoe Management, National Franchisee Association, Elevanta,Bill Keller, Franke, Impossible and Larkin Hoffman.

To date, the program has awarded nearly $60 million in scholarships to over 51,000 students across North America. That staggering number has helped countless students not only enter, but finish their college years.
